String queens Helen Mountfort and Hope Csutoros from My Friend the Chocolate Cake have teamed up with friend and superb pianist Phillipa Safey to form The Persephone Project- a piano trio with a difference. Releasing their debut album in 2019 The Persephone Project play mostly original music and their own arrangements of composers who inspire them, including Erik Satie, Batok, Shostakovich, Astor Piazzolla and the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
